As part of the effort to strengthen the enforcement of the law in Issawiya, police also checked numerous vehicles, issuing 170 tickets and taking 36 cars off the road.
On Saturday, three Israeli vehicles, including two ambulances, were stoned in Issawiya. And two days earlier, four young people - three Israelis from Givatayim and a female Australian student studying at Hebrew University in Jerusalem – made a wrong turn into the neighborhood and their vehicle was attacked by a gang of Palestinian stone throwers.
