Five IDF soldiers were killed Monday in Gaza and along the border on the 21st day of Operation Protective Edge, bringing the total military death toll to 48.
The IDF released the name of Stf.-Sgt. Moshe Davino, 20, from Jerusalem as one of the soldiers killed in action Monday afternoon in the Gaza Strip. He was posthumously promoted following his death.
The military confirmed that the four other Israeli fatalities Monday were killed when a Palestinian
mortar slammed into the Eshkol region early Monday evening.
The IDF informed the families of the fallen soldiers.
