Police fired warning shots at a suspicious woman at the Western Wall on Wednesday, lightly injuring her.
The woman, dressed in blankets, walked towards security guards at the Western wall, failing to heed verbal warnings to stop.
The officers then fired warning shots in the air, and when she still failed to stop, they fired at her legs, lightly injuring the woman.
MDA Paramedics transported her to Sha'are Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident. They said that an initial investigation found that she was an approximately 35-year-old Jewish woman.
