EAJC Supports St. Petersburg Jewish Book Festival |

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has become the general sponsor for the Jewish Book Festival 2010, which has taken place in St. Petersburg on November 21-22. This is the thirteenth time this festival, organized by the Jewish Community Center led by Alexander Frenkel, has taken place in the “northern capital” of Russia. The festival was hosted by the famous Beloselsky-Belozersky palace on the Nevsky Avenue. |

EAJC General Council Chairman Meets Representative of Israeli Government |

The 23–26 of November will see the visit of the President of the State of Israel Shimon Peres to Ukraine. In preparation for the visit, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Secretary General, Chairman of the Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities of Ukraine, Josef Zisels, sent Shimon Peres a letter describing the main problems of the Jewish community of Ukraine and requesting that the President discuss these questions with Ukrainian leaders during his visit. |

In Memory of Hella Moritz |

The leadership of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has received the news of the passing of Hella Moritz with great grief.
The fire of her charisma kept several generations of World Jewish Congress leaders and workers warm. Her name, face, and gesture always appeared anywhere the Jewish initiative of the world had consolidated. She was partial to the works of the WJC founders, and the current rhythm of the world Jewish center in unthinkable without her.

EAJC Hosts Meeting Between American Jewish and Russian Jewish Officials |

The Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) hosted a meeting of the delegation of leaders of a number of American Jewish organizations with the representatives of the Jewish community of Russia. The American delegation was led by the Executive Director of the Advocates on Behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia (NCSJ) Mark Levin.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Russian Jewish Congress are the general sponsors of the Jewish Book Festival, which will take place on November 21-22 in the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace in St. Petersburg. The exposition and fair will present Jewish books in Russian, which were published in Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and Latvia. |
