The leaders of EAJC met the state administration and leaders of political parties of Israel.
24.10.2002 The leaders of EAJC headed by Alexander Mashkevich met state and public figures of Israel.
Among those who have taken part in the planned meetings there was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Shimon Peres; one of leaders of “Likud” party; the former Prime Minister of Israel, B.Netanjahu; the Minister of Defense of Israel B.Ben-Eliezer; Mayor of Jerusalem E.Olmert and the Head of the Jewish Agency for Israel (Sokhnut) Salay Meridor. At a meeting with B.Ben-Eliezer there was the deputy of the Knesseth from "Avoda" party, Mrs. Sofa Lantver.
During these meetings Alexander Mashkevich has acquainted interlocutors with EAJC activity and prospects of Judaic-Islamic dialogue with the center in Kazakhstan. All Israeli leaders have prized the consent of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev to patronize dialogue between Moslems and Jews all over the world. They have thanked Nazarbayev for the act of solidarity with Jewish people and have emphasized Israel always welcomes repatriates from the former USSR in spite of anything.
