Leaders of Jewish federations of Russia and Ukraine - Mikhail Chlenov and Joseph Zisels, also representing Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) visited areas of the residence of the Prime Minister of Israel in Jerusalem, which were partially destroyed after the attack by Palestinian suicide bomber.
Jewish leaders who participated in the Global Forum against anti Semitism arrived to the place of tragedy to express their solidarity with Israeli people, who faced this form of hatred again.
"Unfortunately, it is necessary to state, that modern anti Semitism not only keeps its traditional orientation against Jews of Diaspora, but accepts brightly expressed anti-Israeli character simultaneously", Mikhail Chlenov, EAJC Secretary General, emphasized.
Analyzing the reasons of such tendencies, leaders of Jewish organizations pointed out in the interview to Israeli mass media, that many terrorists receive, at least, moral support from traditional anti Semitic circles.
"Today significant part of people doesn’t perceive old forms of anti Jewish propagation, therefore extremist need to mask their position under statements about "unjustified cruelty" of Israelis in the Middle East", Joseph Zisels, EAJC General Council Chairman added.
In this connection, the officials representing the EAJC emphasized, that they would try to secure that the governments of the countries where the Congress works recognize radical anti-Israeli propagation as the newest form of modern anti Semitism and the necessity to struggle against it.
