                  08.03.2008

                  To Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation
                  Anna Azari

                  Moscow, March 6, 2008.

It is with worry and pain that Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) learned about the horrible crime commited in the Jerusalm yeshiva "Mirkaz ha-rav" library that took away lives of many young Israeli.
The Congress is extremely indignant at the reaction to this of some of Israeli neighbours and it resolutely protests against any attempt of "whitening" the acts of terror.
Terror can't have any human justifications and it mustn't have any political prospects.
We condole with the relatives and friends of the deceased and express our solidarity with the people and government of Israel who are on the frontline of international fight against terrorism.
We are convinced that only joined efforts of global community can terminate the escalation of terror, and we are ready to cooperate.
We pray the Lord to send solace to the families of the deceased in the barbarous villainy and we hope that the guilty will suffer just punishment.
