Road to Peace

40 young leaders, journalists, NGOs and various national communities representatives from all over Ukraine will take part in the educational trip across Podillya and Bukovina Ukrainian provinces, that will take place on June 28 - July 1 in the framework of new joint project conducted by Ukrainian Union of Jewish Students (UUJS) and Lo Tishkach Foundation with support of Genesis Philanthropy Group.
Experienced lecturers and guides (Mr. Josef Zissels, Chairman of Vaad of Ukraine, Chairman of the General Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Dr. Irina Sergeyeva, Director of the Judaica Collection of the Vernadsky State Scientific Library and tutor of Jewish material heritage, Julia Smilyanska, Director of the Judaica institute, scientist of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, Anna Lenchovska, psychologist, trainer of project, coordinator of the Congress of national communities of Ukraine) will help the participants to learn more about Jewish heritage in Ukraine, long history of peaceful co-existence of different national minorities and successful cultural and religious variety preservation.
Upon return the participants will share their new knowledge with youth from their organizations in Ukrainian regions: lectures, publications and photo-exhibition are planned. Moreover, following up meetings and seminars are to take place in order to achieve sustainable results and foster further cooperation of youth organizations and different national communities across Ukraine.
