Josef Zisels Speaks at Congress of 1970's Polish Opposition

On the 20th of November, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Chairman Josef Zisels spoke at the Congress of members of the 1970's Polish opposition, which took place in Warsaw under the title “The Road To Freedom: Congress of Polish Oppositionists of the 1970s - opposition and dissent in Central and Eastern Europe.” At the end of his report, he spoke to the dissidents of the 1960's-1980's who gathered at the Congress, “Our road to freedom, our fight for freedom is not over yet. While countries that ignore law and justice, which do not value human rights, and to which even human life and dignity is meaningless, exist next to us, we must continue our fight and help those who fight for freedom in these countries. If we want our children and grandchildren to live with dignity in a safe and prosperous world, we must bring the work of our life to an end, to carry out judgment not so much over Communist ideology, but more importantly over its imperial and totalitarian essence in our collective history.”
On the 21st of November, Josef Zisels spoke together with Alexander Podrabinek and Arif Yusupov at a Warsaw University student seminar on the Caucasus region.
