EAJC Condolences for Death of David Kimche
11.03.2010
It is with great sorrow that we have learned of the timeless death of David Kimche, the director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the 1980s.
A man who dedicated his whole life to the State of Israel and the Jewish people has passed away. No matter which post he ascended to, he remained the paradigmatic diplomat and a true representative of the interests of the Jewish state. Thanks to his efforts, Israel gained its constructive connections with the Muslim world of the Near East and of Central Asia. All his efforts were directed at solving questions that were vitally important for the security of the Jewish state and peace in the Near East. His personal contribution to the development of anti-terrorist strategy is hard to overestimate.
David Kimche was a good friend of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC). He was a wise teacher and a true example of selfless service.
We shall never forget David Kimche – a soldier, diplomat, businessman who was always there in times of need for Israel and all of the Jewish people.
We extend our condolences to all colleagues, family, and friends of David Kimche. Their loss is grievous, and we pray to the Almighty to send them consolation.
