26.04.2010
Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization "SEFER" for FSU and Baltic states, which operates as a part of Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), has announced its youth programs for summer 2010.
Every summer the Center holds International Conference in Jewish Studies for university graduate and postgraduate students, and researchers younger than 35 y.o. This will be the 15th conference, and it is planned for July 10 -11.
The conference's organizing committee will be accepting applications that must include a questionnaire and a speech summary before May 20, 2010. Best research papers will be published in the digest “Tirosh. Jewish Studies" in 2011. As of today, nine volumes of “Tirosh” have been published. They contain papers presented at the SEFER youth conferences, as well as original research papers.
Also in the summer 2010 Judaica summer schools will be held in Russia, Ukraine, Czech and Slovak Republics. These summer schools are intensive study programs designed to present graduate and postgraduate students of state and private universities with opportunities to take courses in various aspects of Jewish studies and to participate in practical research.
The deadline for submitting applications for Judaica summer schools is May 20.
Detailed information and application forms for the summer schools or the conference could be found on the SEFER's web page
