Articles Collection Published in Honor of Michael Chlenov
22.12.2010 A collection of articles titled "Studia Anthropologica" (edited by A. Fedorchuk, S. Chlenova, and O. Belova) has been published in honor of the jubilee of Michael Anatoliyevich Chlenov, a famous Russian anthropologist and EAJC Secretary General, by the "Gesharim" publishing house in the "Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Library" series.
The book includes articles by friends and colleagues of the scholar, specialists in linguistics, ethnography, mythology on topics that are close to his scholarly interests – Jewish studies, Indonesian studies, Escimo studies, and general anthropology. The articles present the results of recemt work in the abovementioned fields, and introduces new data from field work. The book is for specialists, students and scholars – philologists, ethnographers, historians, and linguists – as well as all those interested in the topics. The articles are in Russian and English.
The authors in the Jewish studies sector include such famous specialists as Olga Belova, Darya Vassyutinskaya, Michael Kizilov, Nadezhda Koryakina, Wolf Moskovich, Michael Nosonovsky, Vladimir Petruhin, Velvl Chernin, Dan Shapira, and Shimon Yakerson. The collection has an introduction by important Russian anthropologist Sergei Aryutunov.
