11.02.2011 On the 11th of February, participants of the joint diplomatic mission of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations met with Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Ieronymos II.
During the meeting, EAJC Secretary General, Professor Michael Chlenov, and EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels stressed that the development of a multi-tiered dialogue between faiths and cultures is one of the priority directions of EAJC activity. It was emphasized that the EAJC strengthens the peace with members of other religions through its actions, by building in countries with EAJC Jewish communities not only synagogues, but also mosques and Orthodox churches.
That same day, the members of the united delegation visited Athens' Jewish school. EAJC representatives presented the school library with several tomes of the Congress's fundamental informational-analytical edition – the "Euro-Asian Jewish Yearbook."
