The Chisinau Tolerance Club, affiliated with the Jewish cultural center "Kedem" and supported by the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, has held the IV International Language Festival in Chisinau on the 27th of March.

Native speakers of French, Hebrew, Polish, Japanese, Bulgarian, Suahili, Urdu, as well as elven other languages, were ready to speak with the attendees of the festival.

The participants and guests of the festival learned about the seven most studied languages in the world, as well as with the languages of Moldovan ethnic minorities.

The coordinator of the Tolerance Club Kira Kreiderman greeted the participants of the festival in three languages – Russian, Romanian, and English. "We live in a policultural country. Our goal is to show the beauty of each language, to study the culture of other people, to spark an interest towards people of other nationalities, to allow them to participate in the international dialogue that aids in breaking the stereotypes of racial discrimination," Kreiderman underscored.

The festival was organized with the support of the USA Embassy in Moldova. Its participants included diplomats, representatives of the Alliance Francaise, the Romanian Institute of Culture, the Peace Corps, teachers, and students.
