EAJC General Council Member Gives Lecture to Kyiv's Youth
15.05.2011 The mass disturbances that have overtaken the countries of North Africa and the Near East in the winter and spring of 2011 are changing the geopolitical map of the region before our very eyes.
What hopes and challenges are connected to the processes now happening in North Africa and the Near East? Could the radical Islamists be the final victors in the "Arabian revolutions"? Could the relationships between Israel and its neighbors change? How will the geopolitical influence of the most consecutive, motivated, and radical enemy of Israel – Iran – change? And, finally, what are the new perspectives of a peaceful regulation for the Israel-Palestinian conflict in light of the new context?
On the 12th of May, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council member, historian and politologist Vyacheslav Likhachev, offered his answers to these questions to young Jewish activists.
