Fyodor Osinin Awarded Kazakshtan “Dostyk” Medal
16.12.2011 The leadership and workers of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress congratulate the long-standing EAJC Financial Director, Executive Vice President of the Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan with being awarded one of Kazakhstan's high state awards – the Dostyk (“Friendship”) Medal. This medal is awarded for successful work in upholding mutual understanding in society, merits in strengthening peace, friendship, and cooperation between peoples.
As Executive Vice President of the Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan, Fyodor Osinin provides constant support of the Mitzvah Association of Jewish Communities of Kazakhstan, takes part in organizing events and implementing projects to ensure a spiritual rebirth of Jewish life in the country. They include the opening of synagogues in Almaty, Astana, Kostanay, and Pavlodar. To support the atmosphere of tolerance and concord in Kazakhstan, he regularly contributes to developing the dialogue between Judaism and Islam.
Fyodor Osinin has been one of the organizators of a number of large-scale events, some of which were initiated by the EAJC, and some – supported by it, including the First International Peace and Concord Conference in Astana. He has represented Eurasia's Jewish community on numerous occasions of varying calibers, from community-level meetings to the Assembly of the World Jewish Congress, and he has always been lauded by these events' organizators for his work.
The fact that one of the active representatives of the EAJC leadership has been awarded with a high state award is not only the recognition of his services to the multi-national Kazakhstan, but also a confirmation of the importance of the Congress' work in fostering tolerance and mutual respect between peoples.
