Anatoliy Vladov Obituary
25.06.2012 The Federal Jewish National Cultural Autonomy of Russia, the Federation of Jewish Organizations and Communities (VAAD) Russia, the Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, and the Moscow Jewish Cultural and Educational Society report with great sadness of the untimely passing of an active participant in the restoration of Jewish life in Moscow, the founder and long-standing Chairman of the Moscow Jewish community “Severnaya,” Anatoliy Vladov.
It would be impossible to overrate the contribution of Anatoliy Isaakovich Vladov to the development of Jewish life. Through his efforts, a unique Jewish community that united Jews in one metropolis district – an active, self-dependent community that both served its members in many ways and existed through their own support – was founded.
Vladov gave all his strength, energy, and philanthropy to his community with its vibrant Jewish life both during celebrations and everyday life.
We give our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Anatoliy Isaakovich, and to all the members of the Severnaya community. In these times of great sorrow, we grieve with you.
