The EAJC Congress College Discusses Standards of “Civilized” Business
29.06.2012 On June 27th, the Congress College business community, acting under the aegis of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, held a plenary meeting titled “International Standards of 'Civilized' Business and Russian Reality.”
The meeting was opened and led by the Chairman of the Congress College, EAJC Vice President Yuri Raskin. The main report was given by the Director General of the Moscow International Business Association Alexander Borisov.
The round table included participation from businessmen who work with international companies and foreign representatives conducting business in Russia. The meeting was moderated by the Chairman of the Russian-Israeli Business Council Sergei Ulin. Participants of the discussion spoke about the national peculiarities of Russian business, about the degree of readiness of the representatives of foreign companies to understand the social and cultural peculiarities and business culture of Russian businessmen, and about heightening the effectiveness of interaction between foreign and Russian companies.
Concluding the round table, Sergei Ulin noted the surprisingly positive mood of its participants who, despite the obvious difficulties of interaction between Russian and foreign companies, showed indisputable achievements, much positive experience, and the effectiveness of cooperation.
Summarizing the meeting, Yuri Raskin rephrased a famous statement: “One cannot understand Russia through the mind – only through the action.”
