EAJC Statement on Terroristic Attack in Boston
17.04.2013 The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has learned of the terroristic attack in Boston with pain and indignation. Three innocent people perished in the attack and over a hundred were wounded. The terrorists attacked a mass sports event, which have, since ancient times, been an instrument of peace and concord.
This cynical act, carried out at the culmination of an international charity event, has once more shown that terror, whichever motives it may have, can be neither understood nor justified. Terror cannot and must not have any moral and political prospects.
We support the people and government of the United States of America. We give our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and wish for a quick recovery to all who have been hurt.
We are certain that the instigators and perpetrators of this inhuman crime will be found by the law enforcement authorities of the USA and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
We call to the governments and community forces of all countries to rally in total intolerance towards terror and to take all necessary steps so that terror no longer has a place on our planet.
