Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Chairman Josef Zisels held a number of meetings in Georgia concerning the implementation of EAJC projects. The meetings involved partners and representatives of the Georgian government.

On June 17, Josef Zisels met with the leadership of the Jewish community of Kutaisi and with a team of workers as part of the EAJC project to restore the Kutaisi synagogue. On June 18, Josef Zisels met with the Georgian Deputy Minister in Education and Science Aluda Goglichidze. The meeting involved a discussion on the continued effect of the treaty concerning the EAJC Project “Tolerance - Lessons of the Holocaust,” as well as the possible participation of the Ministry in the EAJC project “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013." EAJC General Council member Elena Berkovich was also present at the meeting.

On that same day, Josef Zisels held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Rati Bregadze. The meeting included a discussion of the joint project “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013,” which is to be held on Ministry grounds in September 2013. Agit Mirzoyev, the leader of the Analytical Center on International Projects, also participated in the meeting. The Center has been a partner of the EAJC in this project since 2012.
