                  Dear Friends!

The Presidium of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) wishes everyone a good and sweet year! We wish you success in all endeavors, light, well-being, peace and prosperity, and, of course, happiness!

The previous year had not been the most peaceful for the Jewish people: the situation in Israel’s region continued to be tense, anti-Semitic incidents happened around the world, and threats towards the Jewish state sounded from the most lofty of tribunes. But the passing year has also been marked by incredible achievements of Jewish scholarship and science as well as wonderful cultural events in the Jewish state and the Diaspora communities.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress had continued its work on behalf of the Jewish people. Our priorities remained the same: the development of communities, the preservation of Jewish heritage, the support of Israel, the fostering of tolerance, and counteraction of anti-Semitism and xenophobia. We continued the best old projects and implemented new initiatives. In the passing year we were able to spread our experience in certain programs, which have proven their effectiveness in a number of countries, to new countries. This concerns, particularly, one of our most important projects: our children’s summer camps, both Jewish and multi-national.

The EAJC has great plans for the coming year. May it be happy and fruitful for all of us!

Have a good and sweet year!
                  Shana tovah u’metuka!
