On December 11-12, 2013, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman, VAAD Ukraine Chairman Josef Zisels was invited to be an expert and an observer at the Kharkiv First All-Ukrainian Euromaidan Forum, which took place in this Eastern Ukrainian city despite all attempts to thwart it by the city’s governing bodies and the physical attacks on the delegates.

The Euromaidans are an umbrella term for continous rallies taking place in many Ukrainian cities. These rallies are peaceful acts of civil protest against the illegal actions of government bodies and violent acts of law enforcement agencies.

Josef Zisels gave a public lecture at one of Kharkiv’s youth clubs on December 11. The lecture was titled: “VO ‘Svoboda’: Myths and Reality.”
