The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman, VAAD Ukraine Chairman Josef Zisels is continuing his working visit to the United States.

On April 28, Josef Zisels held a briefing for a large group of leaders of US Jewish communities. The meeting was arranged by the World Jewish Congress. Members and leaders of the Brussels and Jerusalem offices of the WJC also participated long-distance in the metting. Josef Zisels described the situation of the Ukrainian Jewish community against the backdrops of systematic civil and international conflicts, and additionally focused on manifestations of anti-Semitism and the activities of radical right wing parties and groups. After the event Josef Zisels answered many questions. Professor of the Jewish Theological Seminary David Fishman served as interpreter.

On that same day, Josef Zisels held a press conference for journalists of Russian-language media of New York on the premises of the JCRC.
Josef Zisels also met with American Jewish Committee Director David Harris and discussed a number of matters of mutual interest.
