On June 22, 2015, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman, Co-Chairman of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations (VAAD) Ukraine Josef Zissels spoke at a meeting of the Council of Churches of Ukraine. He proposed that the leaders of Ukrainian churches act in concert with other representatives of civil society to create a program that will foster Ukrainian society in the spirit of European values.

After the discussion, the Council of Churches adopted the project for this program that had been presented by the secretariat.
