EAJC Secretary General Statement Concerning Assasination Attempt on Sergei Ustinov

                  19.07.2015, Russia

On behalf of the leaders and employees of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), I would like to express our deep concern about the cynical assasination attempt made on the well-known businessman and patron, Director of the Museum of History of Jews in Russia, member of the Russian Jewish Congress (RJC) Presidium Sergey Ustinov.

We fully share the RJC's concern about a possible anti-Semitic undertone in this crime, and we call for the concerned law enforcement bodies to find the culprits as quickly as possible and learn the true reasons for their crime.

We wish Sergey Lvovich a quick recovery, and are hoping that he will soon return to an active life and work for the good of the Jewish community.
