Within his working visit to Odessa Julius Meinl, President of the Eurasian Jewish Congress, met with Gennady Trukhanov, Odessa Mayor. The meeting was attended by Pavel Vugelman, deputy of the City Council, since 2006 the Head of the Jewish Youth Center "Hillel-Odessa."
The meeting discussed a number of issues having a mutual interest. On behalf of EAJC Julius Meinl expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Odessa for the creation of favorable conditions for the existence and development of the Jewish community in the city.
