EAJC General Council Chairman Meets With Mayor of Kyiv

On January 12, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Josef Zissels met with the Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitaliy Klitschko to discuss preparations for the commemoration of the 75^th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy.

Josef Zissels spoke about the “Babyn Yar — Dorogozhichy Necropolis” international competition, which aims to create a modern holistic public memorial space integrated with the city structure through the means of landscape design. The competition is being held by the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (Canada), the International Union of Architects (Paris) and the National Union of Architects of Ukraine.
