Michael Chlenov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Jewish Congress, held in the EAJC Moscow office a working meeting with Alex Kagan, World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ) Director in the CIS and Baltic countries.
Chlenov informed his interlocutor about the current activities of the Congress. Kagan spoke about the WUPJ work in the countries of the Euro-Asian region, in particular, the establishment of the Rabbinical College in Moscow. Training in the College will be divided into two parts: at the end of a four-year bachelor's degree at the Russian State Humanitarian University students will continue their education in Germany, where they’ll receive a rabbinical diploma. Apart the meeting discussed the activities of the newly established Moscow unorthodox Jewish community "Or Hadash", patronized by the Moscow office of the EAJC.
