                  New Israeli Ambassador visited the Jewish community in Montenegro

                  The newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of Israel to Montenegro Alona Fisher-Kamm visited the Jewish Community in Podgorica. She was welcomed by Yasha Alfandari, President of the Jewish Community in Montenegro, member of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council.
                  This was an opportunity to discuss issues important for the Jews living in Montenegro. Emphasis was placed on fostering good inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations within the country as well as the improvement of relations and communication through various cultural programs. The ambassador was informed about the plans of the community for the next period, maintaining the “Mahar 2016” Conference in Budva. The ambassador also visited synagogue and library.
