                  Sources of Tolerance project receives award from Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

                  On September 6, 2017, the team of the “Sources of Tolerance - Moldova” project, which is conducted with the support of the EAJC Kyiv Office, received the Sustainability Award of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.

                  Kira Kreiderman, Ekaterina Postolatiy and Daria Straister received the award at the Intercultural Achievement Awards ceremony in Vienna.

                  The aim of the children’s interethnic camp is to create a suitable atmosphere for dialogue between ethnic groups, to foster inter-ethnc tolerance, to counteract xenophobia, to form an active civil position among the youth of various national communities, and to spread knowledge about Moldova’s ethnic diversity. The international and intercultural children’s and youth project “Sources of Tolerance - Moldova” has been conducted since 2011, with the steadfast support of the Kyiv office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC).

                  The “Sources of Tolerance” methodology was created and tested by the Congress of National Communities of Ukraine. The project begun in Ukraine in 2002, and has been supported by the EAJC throughout the entire time of its existence.
