The EAJC Kyiv office calls for solidarity with the victims of the Pittsburgh Synagogue tragedy
31.10.2018, Jewish Communities
Dear friends, colleagues, Jews of Eurasia!
Last Saturday, the whole world was shocked by the horrific tragedy in Pittsburgh, where neo-Nazi and anti-Semite Robert Bowers shot 11 people dead and injured six more in the Etz Haim synagogue.
US President Donald Trump ordered to lower the flags over the White House as a sign of respect for the memory of the victims. Heads of many countries all over the world, including the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, expressed their condolences.
The American Jewish Committee called on all Jews of the world to come on this Shabbat — November 3, 2018 — and participate a morning service in the synagogues of their cities, expressing solidarity with the victims of the tragedy.
The EAJC Kyiv office joins this action and asks you not to remain indifferent. We are waiting for you on this Saturday from 09:00 to 11:30 in all synagogues of Eurasia.
