Preparation for International Children’s Camp Commences in Georgia |

On July 1, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Josef Zisels held a number of meetings in Tbilisi as part of the preparation and implementation of the EAJC project “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013.” At the meeting with the General Manager of the International Humanitarian Foundation of Patriarch of Georgia His Holiness Ilia II, Lasha Zhvania, Josef Zisels discussed possible EAJC partners in Georgia and Azerbaijan for this project. |

Seminar for Children’s Camp Counselors Takes Place in Georgia |

On June 28-30, a seminar to select and prepare camp counselors for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) project “Shorashim - Caucasus - 2013” was held in Bakuriani (Georgia). Out of the 20 participants of the seminar, three were from Ukraine, three from Azerbaijian, and the rest were from Georgia. The leader of the seminar and the project as a whole is the Director of the EAJC Shorashim Project, Dr. Natalia Bakulina. |

EAJC Representatives Participate in EJP Meeting |

On June 24-25, Vadim Rabinovich and Joel Rubinfeld chaired a meeting of the European Jewish Parliament (EJP). Three Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council members participated in the meeting: Alexander Baron (Kazakhstan), Igor Dabakarov (Russia), and Rimma Vardzhapetyan (Armenia). |

EAJC General Council Chairman Visits Israel |

On June 23–25, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Chairman Josef Zisels visited Israel. There he held working meetings with EAJC Vice Presidents Mark Shabad, Merab Elashvili, and Gabriel Mirilashvili, and discussed the state of events and work plan of the EAJC for the second half-year period of 2013. |

The delegation of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), comprising of EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels, EAJC Shorashim Project Director Natalia Bakulina, and the coordinator of the Congress project “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013” Miroslav Greenberg, visited Georgia to help prepare implement a number of Congress project in the Southern Caucasus region. The delegation held a number of working meetings to further this goal. |
