                  On September 27-29, 2013, a seminar of the international Jewish women’s organization Project Kesher, which is a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, was held in Minsk. The seminar gathered 23 participants - women leaders from 12 Belarusian Jewish communities. On September 23, 2013, the Kineshma municipal administration hosted a round table on problems of inter-cultural, inter-ethnic, and inter-religious communication.

                  The conference “Memory of the Holocaust: the Common and the Divisive” took place in Moscow on September 25-26, 2013. The conference was organized by the MEMORIAL Historical, Educational, Human Rights And Charitable Society, the EVZ Foundation, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

                  On September 24, 2013, over 120 participants from 11 national communities from Georgia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan took part in the opening ceremony of the “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013” camp led by Miroslav Greenberg. The camp is based in Anakliya, at the “Camp of the Future” recreation center.

                  The Department of Culture of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration, the Kyiv History museum, the Sholem Aleichem museum, the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (headed by EAJC General Council member Anatoliy Podolsky), the Committee for Commemorating Babiy Yar Victims are holding an exhibition of creative works by participants of the all-Ukrainian “History and Lessons of the Holocaust” competition. The exhibition is titled “The Holocaust Through the Eyes of Ukraine’s Children” and is timed to 72 years since the Babiy Yar tragedy.

                  The Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations (VAAD) Ukraine and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine (Lviv) have finished the preservation and restoration of the roof of the former community house on 12 Sholem Aleichem street. This house is to host the restored Lviv Jewish Museum and the conservation was necessary to preserve the building through the winter.

                  On August 30, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Josef Zisels and Agit Mirzoyev, acting on behalf of the Analytical Center for Interethnic Cooperation and Consultations, signed a cooperation treaty as part of the preparation and implementation of the EAJC project “Roots of Tolerance - Caucasus - 2013.”
