On the night before Pesach, the Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress was visited by the Head Rabbi of Russia, Deputy Chairman of the EAJC Rabbi Council, Adolph Shaevich.
Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Michael Chlenov visited a reception at the residents of the Ambassador of the United States of America, where he held a working meeting with members of a delegation of representatives of the USA Senate Administration, visiting Russia to study a number of commercial and trade matters. The main topic of the meeting was a possible cancellation of the Jackson-Vanik Amendment for Russia.
On April 3, the Congress College business community, working under EAJC aegis, held a club meeting. The plenary meeting was titled “Case in court: legal problems of Russian business.”
Acting President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Vadmi Shulman, EAJC Vice President Mark Shabad, and EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov took part in a session of the World Jewish Congress Executive Committee that took place in New York.
On February 29, the Congress College under the aegis of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress held a new meeting in the expanded “Business-club evening” form. The main part of the evening was the plenary meeting titled “Economics must be!” Before the plenary meeting there were two hours of an informal “Business five o'clock.”
On March 27, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Kyiv office hosted a round table, he aim of which was to discuss a group of several sub-ethnic museums.
The secretary of the EAJC Rabbi Council expressed his concern on the anti-migration rhetoric of certain important political figures, noting that it can provoke violence, as the KER press service notes.
