It is with great indignation and worry that the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress received the news of the terroristic attacks on Israeli diplomatic missions in India and Georgia. Several people were wounded after an explosion near the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, including the ambassador's wife. Luckily, the security services in Tbilisi were able to prevent a terroristic attack near the Israeli diplomatic mission.
Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General, Professor Michael Chlenov represented the EAJC at the XII Herzliyah Conference, one of the most important international political studies forums that is held annualy.
On January 31, a meeting took place in Ekaterinburg between the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District Evgeniy Kuyvashev and the leaders of national-cultural unions of Sverdlovskaya oblast.
On January 29-31, the Moscow Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization ‘Sefer’ held the XIX International Jewish Studies Conference in Moscow. EAJC traditionally supported the center in holding this annual forum.

On January 23-25, a seminar titled “Jewish Culture: Ethics of Judaism,” a part of the Shoresh project, took place in the synagogue of the Kazakhstan city of Kostanay.
On January 26-29, the informal winter Jewish youth seminar ‘Winter–U 2012 Ukraine: Ski Time – Party time’ took place in Slavske (a ski resort in Lviv Oblast, in the west of Ukraine), which was organized by the Ukrainian Union of Jewish Students. Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Chairman Josef Zisels actively participated in the seminar’s work.
On January 23-26, an Israeli delegation headed by former resident of Kyiv Alex Vizhnitzer, Co-chairman (on the Israeli side) of the Intergovernmental Committee on the Development of Uman, was in Ukraine with a working visit.
On January 19, the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Center of Visual Culture held a presentation of a special issue of the ''Ukrainian Oriental Studies'' journal (Ukrayinska Orientalistika) devoted to Jewish Studies, which was published with EAJC support.
