The photo exhibition “Five Square Meters of Jewish Life” has opened in the Jewish Community Center of Saint Petersburg with the informational aid of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress PR Department. Approximately 40 works of EAJC's own press service photographer Andrei Yashin are exhibited – photos of Jewish community activists, rabbis, Israeli politicians, patrons, and public figures. |

20th Anniversary Conference on the Diplomatic Relationship Between Israel and Kazakhstan |

Deputy Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, EAJC Representative in Israel Haim Ben Yakov has participated in a conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Israel. The conference was organized by the Netania Academic College jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Israel. |

Prime Minister of Georgia Meets With Delegation of World Congress of Georgian Jews |

The Vice President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Gabriel Mirilashvili led a delegation of the World Congress of Georgian Jews (which is a part of the EAJC) in a meeting with recently reelected Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili. The meeting took place in Israel, just before Chanukah, and the delegation included Jamlet Huhashvili and Shabtai Tsur. |

Project Kesher Wins First Place at Volunteer Competition |

On December 3, an awarding ceremony of the Pan-Russian Volunteer Conference took place in Moscow, at which Project Kesher, a Jewish women's organization that is a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress was awarded a special prize and a diploma for first place in a competition organized by the Sozidaniye Foundation. |

Address to Government of Countries Whose Jewish Communities Belong to the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress |

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), which represents the interests of hundreds of thousands of Jews of two continents, would like to address the governments of the countries whose Jewish communities are a part of the EAJC. The EAJC is concerned with the fact that representatives of the Palestinian Autonomy plan to bring up the raising of the autonomy to the status of “independent non-UN member state” at the 66th UN General Assembly meeting. |

“Memory of the Heart” |

The head of the EAJC PR Department, Roman Spector, has taken part in the presentation of the third edition of Nikolai Chistyakov's book “Memory of the Heart”, which took place in the cinema and concert hall of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The books is dedicated to the act of heroism of the residents of the Cirkassian village Besleney, who had saved 32 Jewish children, evacuated from Leningrad during the Blockade, despite the conditions of the Nazi occupation. |

EAJC Secretary General Speaks at Pro-Israeli Rally in Moscow |

On November 25, the Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Michael Chlenov spoke at a Moscow rally in support of Israel's actions against terrorism and extremism in the Near East. The rally, which gathered approximately 300 people, was organized by the Zionist youth organization “Shahar.” |
